Welcome to Mt. Pisgah
We are a friendly, welcoming group of about 500 (and growing!) people who gather regularly to worship God and to help build God's kingdom on earth.

Greetings from God's people in the name of our Risen Lord Jesus Christ! Mt Pisgah Lutheran is a grace-filled place where we worship God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and celebrate the Gift of His Holy Word. "Blessed to be a Blessing" is a theme often heard inside our walls. God's Holy Presence is surely felt here whenever His people are gathered in His name.
Two services are held each Sunday Morning at 8:00 and 10:30 with Sunday School between services. A wide variety of programs are available for our youth of all ages. Holy Communion is celebrated every Sunday at both services. Men's and Women's Bible study are both important parts of our Christian lives. Our Food Pantry recently celebrated its 25th anniversary of serving the people of Alexander County. Our Adult Choir praises God with the gift of music and presents a Cantata at Easter and Christmas. Wednesday Morning prayer is another special time celebrated in the Sanctuary from 7:00 until 7:30 am. Our Youth lead a Contemporary Service once a month at both services. Vacation Bible School, Mission trips, overnights at the church, Teens Encounter Christ, Kure Beach-our youth experience the opportunity to grow in their faith, to give back to the world and their neighbor, and to spread the Good News of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Please join us in worship next Sunday. Our door is open for you to experience the Living Lord in a real and powerful way.
A Stone's Throw

What a blessing this April was and what a joy to anticipate all that May has to offer. It is impossible for this Rev. to not have great joy and elation when we share this age of Easter words “Christ is Risen—He is Risen Indeed”!
His presence and love is what we are all about in our doing and sharing. Please take note of all the exciting happenings!
* May 6th --Grace Wepner Harpist with us both services and Women's Spring Luncheon @ 1:30.
* May 13th We will give thanks to God for our mothers—we have a special sermon and message as well
as gifts for all the women of the church!
*May 20th between services we have a Congregational meeting and our Preschoolers will sing. This Sunday is our traditional God and Country Sunday when we remember those who have and continue to put themselves in harms way so that we might enjoy the freedoms we do today. We honor our military, as we have in the past, with the military services tribute and we will also honor all the firefighters, police officers and Emts who continually risk their lives for the sake of others. We will have a covered dish reception after 10:30 service. So bring a dish to share. Our covered dish recipients will be to honor our new members joining with us. Please take time to read through this newsletter because there are so many blessings you do not want to miss!
In His Gracious Grip,
Pastor Mike
